Logan will host the final round this year and teh usual format will apply with 540, SuperStock (10.5) and Gas Tourer all on the Saturday followed by Stock, Mod and Pro Tourer on the Sunday.

These Interclub events are owned by the racers of SEQ and have always been good ones to participate in, this weeknd should be no different. Sure there has ben some friction this year between some of the clubs officials and between some of the clubs and the State Administration but why should we the racers allow that to effect our enjoyment of the Interclub event. Get your entry in and plan to race hard and enjoy.

For those not coming to Launceston there will be racing the Interclub at Logan Saturday and Sunday. 11th and 12th Sept

The Interclubs have been the best events around SEQ in the last few years and this is the last one for 2010 so don’t miss it – should be great. Can’t believe I am missing it.

Son Matt is in Japan playing in the second stage of 4 stages to secure his Japan Golf Tour Card (he was exempt from the first stage) – there are 4 rounds of golf to play in this stage and of the 102 playing on the course Matt is playing at, 30 will go through to the next stage in October. It will get progressively more difficult as the stages go by.

After the first 3 rounds Matt is 9 under and sitting solidly in 8th – he would have to have about 7 over tomorrow to miss out, so without counting any chickens we are pretty sure he’s over the first hurdle. If he finishes 8th or better he will have a better choice of venues for the 3rd stage

Chris Sturdy blitzs a 40 strong quality field to win the South Australian Stock Championship.

With 2 perfect drives in the first 2 of 3 finals Chris continued his qualifying form and won the finals by 10 and then 19 seconds (an enormous margin) to absolutely blitz the field.

The Schumacher Mi4LP was absolutely on rails and Gary (Pit Crew Dad) had the Tekin tuned to perfection and the Fantom motor and battery combined with the Tekin to produce speed to burn.

Well done Chris and Gary.

Fuelled by the desires of some different groups of people
1. People that have come from stock and become disalusioned with the constant quest for speed through complex, computer driven ESC that are no longer a plug and play option. Also disalusioned with the cost of competitivness in stock and the blown motors etc etc. Some who felt that the speed of stock was no longer within the scope of their abilities.

2.People who were week in week out racers in 540 who had got sick of the amount of work required to keep a 540 motor on song and competitive and wanted a simple non-adjustable brushless option with a set motor that was of equal performance to 540 and had some degree of consistancy between motors.

3.New people wanting in at a reasonable cost and a simple plug and play.

Together we have come to the conclusion that the motor will be a set motor (SPF21V2 Ultra Sportsman) and there will be 2 speedies allowed – the SP Cirtix Stock Club Race and the Hobby Wing Justock – no other speedies and no other motors.

It’s been good of the Logan club to give us the drivers space to develop this class and have a lot of fun racing in it over the last few months and also the Bayside club for allowing us similar space over the last 2 race meets.

Is this a new State Class – no (and I am not recommending it as such). At the moment it’s purely a club class and at the moment it’s run at Logan and Bayside (within the 540 class) – we’d love to trial it at Sunny Coast if we get a chance – anyone for next Sunday ?

3. Sunday 9am 5th – Sunny Coast EP and GP – new drivers stand – State Titles Practice opportunity.

Believe I’ll be doing 2 and 3 but don’t think I can make the Iron Man.
