What to do on a WET WEEKEND

With our predominantly fine and warm climate we don’t have the proliferation of indoor tracks like they do in the colder wetter countries – however there are some things to do.

Offroad racers are going to be fine – they will just pile into the GCRC Raceway, indoors, covered pits etc.

But if you don’t have an offroad buggy or don’t like crowds here’s a couple of other suggestions.

1. Cougar SVR – I have one of these 2wd buggies in stock ready to be built tonight and saturday for racing Sunday.

2. Likewise a CAT K1 – yes I have one in stock and ready to be built same as 1.

3. Touring Car buffs – paint a new body, I have some Mazda Speed 6 bodies in stock waiting for your rattle can or spray gun, why waste the weekend.

4. Best for last – for a mere $200 you can have a very good secondhand SX3, install your electrics and hit the track at GCRC. Superceded model it might be but still a very good 4wd buggy.

That’s the best of my suggestions, give me a call if you are interested.

I’m very much looking forward to a run at GCRC on Sunday. Sunday racing won’t be very common for me over the next few months, but this weekend it will happen. With Big Mac and Leonard both looking likely to come it should not only be a great day on a fantastic indoor race track, but a really enjoyable day with mates in the pit area.

Can’t wait to get the Schumacher Cougar SVR and CAT K1 buggies rolling out tomorrow morning!

Cut out a body Shaped it, sanded it and painted it but the blo———-dy paint will not dry.
4 hours and still not dry

    Might try a DVD

Use you blow dryer beteen coats

Agree with brad, just painted my K1 body using faskolor pearl white and a tamiya rattle can with blow drying between coats. Helps speed up the process nicely. Just hold it(the hair dryer) approx 30cm away.
