PRODUCT NEWS
There are three articles here that are definitely worth a read – one on brushless motors and one on building the ultimate Mi3 diff and the main one by Shawn Palmer on care of your LIPO – this article features CORE but applies to all LIPO. If you run your batteries for more than one race without a recharge then pay particular attention to the low discharge limits and the problems of over discharge – be aware that the low voltage cut off in the LRP TC Spec is not considered accurate and another independant cut off should probably be used as well if you run that speedy.

Read on for a range of tips, tricks, ideas and just plain useful information.

1. Click here for an article on brushless that’s worth a read

2. Click here for excellent info from Shawn Palmer (Schumacher USA) on LiPo that is also worth reading (whether you choose Core or another brand).

3. Click here for tips on how to build the Ultimate Mi3 diff (Adrian Martinez – Schumacher USA).

4. Click here for some thoughts from Scott on setup for the Mi3 at Bayside (Qld Champs track for 2008).

5. Click here for Adrian’s settings guide for great ideas on setup wherever you go. It is excellent information

6. Click here for info on a loom to balance Corally plug type LIPO from a CORE Charger

Heavy’s Racing Wisdom

Heavy’s tip #1 – if you are unhappy with steering response try removing the white wheel spacer in the front only.

Heavy’s Tip #2 – get yourself a Speed Passion GT ESC they are awesome.

Heavy’s tip #3 – with the 17.5 brushless there appears to be some variation between motor brands – shop around the ratios to find the sweet spot for yours.

Heavy’s tip #4 – practice, practice and practice – don’t underestimate the percentage that good tyres play in your set up when practicing – there’s not much point practicing on canvas.

Heavy’s tip #5 – go racing more often – find someone of similar speed and enjoy racing them without necessarily winning.

Heavy’s tip #6 – if you race on a lower traction track try the medium flex arms front and rear.

Heavy’s tip #7 – Mi3 are pretty durable but you do need to check them over ocassionally – look for bent screws on the suspension mounting blocks.

“Arno’s tip ” On teh new Mi3.5 the screws from teh factory are very tight – Heat the screws up with the soldering iron and they will come out
easily.

Thanks ARNO for the tip.
